Hi I’m Zoe
I like playing with my friends & having a good time. My favourite book for now is pipi long-stocking. I’m a big fan of Jacqueline Wilson books. One of my favorite food's are melted chocolate and strawberries & my favourite food of all is............... PIZZA!!! I have a sister that 20 years old her name is Robyn, she is a bit bossy at times but i don’t care at all ! I really like music and singing but i dont like singing to other people because im shy, my favourite singers are ( Avril Lavigne, lady gaga & Katy Perry)

Monday 14 March
On Monday the 14 all the classes in year 5 went to the Orakie maree and we learned all about the (Maori) culture, all the girls that came along learned how to use a Poi and all the boys learned the Huka. At the end of the day the girls shared the dance to the boys and the boys shared their dance to the girls.
Tuesday 15 March
The next day of (EOTC) wich stands for Education Out Of School, half of our class went to tree adventures and the other half went to orienteering, my group went (Tree Adventures) it was really fun!!!!! What we mainly had to do is do obsticele courese, and at the end of each course we went on a flying fox.

Wednesday 16 March
On Wednesday the class that did not go orienteering had to go today ( and i was 1 of them)

The book is called: I hate sport






I havent finished the book yet but its a really good book to read

What its about: Is basicaly a book about Karen Keen, and in the first part of the book she tells us that everyone in her family is over sport {AND SHE HATES IT } Karen tries different types of sport and gets good advise from her friend {winne } who also hates sport................


I recommend/ i dont recommend
I recommend this book because I have read this book about MILLION TIMEXXXXXX and its really good

On Monday 13th our class did masks for our topic {creativity} we have to do our dance on a myth {Rangi and Papa.} There were diffrent groups like {war god, sea god, food god,forest god, and a little more and some people were Rangi and some people were Papa.}
So..... we all had to do a mask related to our character.


My character is Papa, so I had to do a mask of leaves and earthy colours like different shades of green. My mask turned out a little how I wanted and a little how i didnt want but thats ok. Mine and a bunch of other added some hair parts witch means that we added feathers and other accessories on the top of our masks. I think we all loved doing our masks and accessorizing it.

I learned

1) If you put alot of detail on the mask then its not going to look nice.
2) Paint one way because if you paint all different ways it not gonna look neat and nice.
3) Be-careful with the hot gun because it might burn you { like it did to me}
HOT HOT......!


THE CHALLENGING BIT FOR ME WAS.............. trying to find things to match my mask and trying to have just the write amount of detail.

The most fun bit of making masks was decorating it.


p.s The day after we did a little parade going through two classes, to give them a bit of a idea for there mask, and showing what we did with our masks.

How to be a hero from a legend
1) First you have to pick who your character is.
2) When you have picked a character you can choose it's skill's and something that makes it powerful.
3) After that you can pick your characters weakness and what its lowest points are.
4)You can even mention who your characters parents are, are they ( King's, Queen's, Gods e.g) or does the character have a story that happened along time a go.
5) You can have (enemies, beasts, sidekicks, a cure.)

Halloween Comments

For trees for survival all the enviroferns from our school went to a farm, and planted plants by a river to stop the loose soil from falling into the river and getting all dirty. My favourite part of the trip was getting all muddy, planting the plants and eating all the goodies that they had!!!!!!!!!! It took about 1 and a half hours to get there but still it was really fun, the owners were very nice and we got to see all ther sheep jumping on top of everyone

p.s It was really funny watching the sheep.

In art we have been working our character from our legend and putting it in a setting.
My character is a evil elf called Destiny, she steals a diamond that belongs to a king,
and hides it. I was going to do the main character (MEEEEE) but then I thought that it
would be easier drawing a evil and ugly person, after I have published on the computer
I will put it up and you can check it out!!!!

For homework this week we had to write a paragraph about a communication technology that was in the olden days and is not very popular today, and do a little research on it.

The type writer was very popular in the olden days and was used like a computer except it didn’t have a screen. Every type writer was very hard to work with, for instance if you made a mistake you wouldn’t be able to back space it, you would have to start all over. Type writers have a special slide type thing that you slide it over to the other side at a certain time. The type writer has keys just like a regular computer or lap top. the type writer is also more complicated than a regular computer I will link a picture to show you..
